You revised the formation of the gerund in unit 2, when we talked about the present continous. Maybe it's time to have a quick look back and check those difficult spellings.

We studied the past simple last year. Now it's the time to revise it. Remember that some past simple is regular (-ed), but some forms are irregular.

Agendaweb.org has a huge collection of past simple exercises. Some of them contain only regular verbs, some both regular and irregular verbs. Choose 10, but bear in mind that now it is important to revise your regular verbs.

Past continuous and past simple
 
All in one long sentence

You have practice dthe past continuous and the past simple. It's time now to put them together into one big sentence. Here you have some notes on how to use them. You must complete at least 10 exercises:

 

  • Exercise 1 (you can divide it in groups of 5 sentences).

  • Exercise 2 (you can divide it in group of 5, but only exercise 1!)

  • Exercise 3 (very easy!)

  • Exercise 4 (very easy too!).

  • Exercise 5 (you cannot divide it).

  • Exercise 6 (you can divide it in two!)

  • Exercise 7 (6 different exercises)

Writing
The Ishimura

Dead Space is probably one of the best games in the horror survival genre. Its protagonist, Isaac Clarke, is on board the abandoned space ship Ishimura, trying to fix it and return home. During the game, Isaac has to fight numerous monsters and find his girlfriend, Nicole, who is a medical officer.
